This internship is designed for a motivated, analytical, and entrepreneurial student interested in commercial real estate, finance, brokerage, acquisitions, and operations.
Position Overview
The Summer Intern – Commercial Real Estate & Acquisitions Analyst will support RDE’s leadership team with prospecting, underwriting, market research, CRM/database management, and marketing initiatives.
This role offers hands-on exposure to:
- Commercial real estate underwriting
- Multifamily and commercial acquisitions
- Brokerage prospecting
- Asset valuation
- Market research
- CRM systems and business development
- Real estate operations and strategy
The intern will work directly with company leadership and gain practical experience rarely offered at the undergraduate level.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Business Development Support
- Research commercial and multifamily property ownership throughout DFW
- Assist with identifying acquisition and management opportunities
- Prepare prospecting lists and ownership profiles
- Update and maintain CRM/database records
- Research property histories, tax records, and ownership structures
- Assist leadership with pipeline tracking and lead organization
Real Estate Underwriting & Market Analysis

Underwrite multifamily and commercial properties throughout DFW - Analyze rent rolls, expenses, occupancy, and market comps
- Estimate property valuations using cap rate and income approaches
- Assist with acquisition analysis and investment summaries
- Underwrite properties currently under RDE management to determine market value and operational opportunities
- Maintain underwriting files and acquisition research folders
Marketing & Social Media Support
- Assist with creation of marketing flyers and property packages
- Help develop social media content and market update graphics
- Support listing marketing efforts
- Assist with presentation materials and investor-style reporting
Market Research & Reporting
- Research DFW market trends, vacancies, rents, and sales activity
- Monitor multifamily and commercial market conditions
- Assist with weekly market intelligence and reporting initiatives
- Track new developments, distressed opportunities, and market shifts
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will demonstrate:
- Strong interest in commercial real estate, finance, or investments
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset and willingness to learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Self-motivated and dependable work ethic
Preferred but not required:
- Finance, business, economics, or real estate coursework
- Experience with Excel modeling
- Familiarity with social media or graphic design tools
- Interest in acquisitions, private equity, or brokerage
